Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Luminance Studios, located at 45 Rockefeller Plaza, Suite 2000, New York, NY 10111. By accessing and using our services, including studio rentals, photography sessions, and related offerings, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the "Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Luminance Studios, governed by the laws of the State of New York. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our services.

These Terms are effective as of January 1, 2025, and are subject to change without prior notice. Your continued use of our services following any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for updates. Studio Use

Rental and Access

Studio rental at Luminance Studios is subject to availability and requires a prior booking. Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or in person. Upon booking, you will receive a confirmation email outlining the details of your rental, including the date, time, studio space, and any additional equipment or services requested.

Access to the studio is granted only during the specified rental period. Early access or extended use beyond the agreed-upon time may incur additional charges. Please ensure that you and your team arrive and depart on time to avoid any disruptions to other bookings. The studio is equipped with a keycard access system. A designated contact person from your team will be responsible for the keycard and ensuring that the studio is secured upon departure.

Conduct and Responsibility

You are responsible for the conduct of all individuals present in the studio during your rental period. This includes your team, clients, models, and any other guests. Any damage to the studio, equipment, or property of Luminance Studios caused by you or your team will be your responsibility, and you will be liable for the cost of repair or replacement.

The following activities are strictly prohibited within the studio premises:

Equipment and Safety

Luminance Studios provides a range of equipment for studio use, including lighting, backdrops, props, and other accessories. You are responsible for the proper handling and use of all equipment. Any damage to equipment due to negligence or misuse will be your responsibility. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the operation of the equipment before use. Our studio managers are available to provide assistance and guidance.

Safety is our top priority. Please adhere to all safety guidelines and instructions provided by our staff. In the event of an emergency, please follow the established emergency procedures and evacuate the studio promptly. Fire extinguishers and first aid kits are available on-site. Please report any accidents or injuries to our staff immediately.

Payment and Cancellation

Payment Terms

Payment for studio rental and other services is due at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers. Prices are listed in US dollars and are subject to change without prior notice. A non-refundable deposit of 25% may be required for certain bookings. The remaining balance is due prior to the start of your rental period.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing and sent to [email protected]. The following cancellation policy applies:

In the event that Luminance Studios needs to cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances, we will provide a full refund or offer an alternative booking date, subject to availability.

Late Fees and Overtime Charges

If you fail to pay the full amount due by the specified deadline, a late fee of 5% of the outstanding balance will be applied. Continued non-payment may result in the cancellation of your booking and legal action to recover the debt. Overtime charges will be applied for any use of the studio beyond the agreed-upon rental period. The overtime rate is 1.5 times the standard hourly rate.

Limitation of Liability

Luminance Studios is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury to persons or property occurring on the studio premises, except where such loss, damage, or injury is caused by our negligence. You are responsible for obtaining your own insurance coverage to protect against any potential risks associated with your use of the studio. We strongly recommend that you carry adequate liability insurance and property insurance.

In no event shall Luminance Studios be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of our services, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of business opportunities, or loss of data. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

This limitation of liability shall apply to the fullest extent permitted by law. The laws of the State of New York shall govern these Terms and any disputes arising hereunder. Any legal action relating to these Terms shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York City.

For the avoidance of doubt, Luminance Studios shall not be held responsible for the actions or omissions of third-party service providers, such as caterers, stylists, or makeup artists, engaged by you for your shoot. You are solely responsible for selecting and managing these providers.
